Type K Thermocouples
Type K thermocouples are the most common general purpose thermocouple. With sensitivity of 41 µV/°C. It is inexpensive, and a wide variety of thermocouples are available, designed to fit your needs!

Type N Thermocouples
Type N thermocouples are suitable for use at temperatures exceeding 1200 °C. Sensitivity is approximitly 39 µV/°C at 900 °C, slightly lower than type K. Designed to be an improvement to type K.

Type R Thermocouples
Type B thermocouples use platinum leg and a platinum–rhodium alloy leg. Type B thermocouples are some of the most stable thermocouples, but have lower sensitivity than other types (10 µV/°C)

Type S Thermocouples
Type S thermocouples use platinum and rhodium in its construction. Type S thermocouples are some of the most stable thermocouples, but have lower sensitivity than other types (10 µV/°C)

Type B Thermocouples
Type B thermocouples use a rhodium alloy in each of its conductors. Type B thermocouples are some of the most stable thermocouples, but have lower sensitivity than other types (10 µV/°C). Will not read Below 42°C accurately.

Type T Thermocouples
Type T thermocouples are suited for measurements in the -200 to 350 °C range. Type T thermocouples have a sensitivity of approximately 43 µV/°C.

Type E Thermocouples
Type E thermocouples have a high output (68 µV/°C) which makes it suited for cryogenic use.
